Een ode aan erfgoed en natuur

Kosmos, een iconisch gebouw in het Vlaamse Heuvelland, was ooit een bruisend hotel en jeugdverblijf vol avontuur en ontmoetingen. Nu wacht het als erfgoed op hernieuwde bewondering. Vanuit die gedachte ontstond de Ko.So.Mo. Fauteuil, een eerbetoon aan Kosmos. De asymmetrische vorm weerspiegelt de evolutie van het gebouw, met verwijzingen naar het torengebouw en de omliggende natuur.

Ko.So.Mo. kijkt naar zowel het verleden als de toekomst, met duurzame materialen zoals afvalwol, gerecycleerd vilt en duurzaam leder. Deze fauteuil is geen gewoon meubelstuk, maar een rustplaats waar nieuwe verhalen ontstaan en herinneringen een thuis vinden. 

In 2028 ontwaakt Kosmos opnieuw, en de fauteuil nodigt je uit: neem plaats, voel de verbinding, en laat het verleden tot leven komen. Hier, waar verhalen blijven groeien.

Hey Young Artists,

Ever dreamed of seeing your artwork displayed alongside masterpieces at the KMSKA in Antwerp? Now’s your chance to make that dream come true!

For my Advanced Furniture Studies, at VOMO, I've been given the exciting challenge of transforming catering chairs for J&M Catering —and I want you to be part of it! 

This collaboration between J&M and KMSKA is all about combining art, design, and culinary culture, and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I’m inviting you to turn these chairs into your own canvas. Your designs will be featured at exclusive events of J&M Catering at the KMSKA, right next to the museum’s famous works. And if we win this competition, your art will be part of an unforgettable experience for art and food lovers alike!

2. Write a short motivation – Tell us why this project excites you and what inspires you. You can write in Dutch, French or English.
